How to become a Registered Landscape Architect?

Applicants who are Professional Members / Fellows of HKILA or holding HKILA reciprocal qualification

Applicants who are neither Professional Members / Fellows of HKILA nor holding HKILA reciprocal qualification

Details of application can refer to the Application Guidance Notes. For Applicants who are not Professional Members / fellows of HKILA, please refer to Validation (Assessment) Procedure by the LARB for RLA Applicants who are not Members of the HKILA.

Please complete the relevant application forms: New Application or Renewal Application, together with Application Fee (for a new application is HK$1200 and the annual renewal fee is HK$800) and supporting documents and send them to Landscape Architects Registration Board, P.O. Box 97511, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Kowloon, Attn : Registrar.

New RLA applications will be processed in 4 batches every year with following cutoff dates and endorsement deadlines:
  • applications received by end February will be endorsed by 31 May;
  • applications received by 31 May will be endorsed by 31 August;
  • applications received by 31 August will be endorsed by 30 November; and
  • applications received by 30 November will be endorsed by end February of next year.

 

How to become a Registered Landscape Architect?

The Board will use the personal data you provide for the processing of the Application Form and all matters related including the administration of the Board.

The personal data provided by means of the Application Form may be disclosed and/or transferred to government bodies or other agencies for lawful purposes.

You have voluntarily provided the information to the Board and you understand that failing to provide adequate or accurate information may delay or suspend the processing of the Application Form.

You have a right of access and correction with respect to personal data as provided for in Sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Your right of access includes the right to obtain a copy of your personal data provided in the Application Form.

You, or any authorized person with a written statement, may request in writing to the Board Registrar for accessing and correcting the personal data provided in the Application Form.
